How concrete leveling works
Two Honest Options
A trip hazard is a safety problem before it is a curb appeal problem.
If the slab is sound and has simply dropped, we raise it by filling the void underneath and bringing it back to grade. That is the fast, lower cost path and it works on most driveways, walks, and patios.
If the concrete is spidered with cracks, spalling, or broken into pieces that will not move as one, lifting it just relocates the problem. In that case we break it out, fix the base, and pour new.
Either way we look at what caused the drop. Concrete that sank because a downspout has been washing out the base will sink again unless the water gets handled.

Lifting is priced by area and how much void has to be filled. Replacement is priced by square footage, thickness, and how much demo and haul-off the job takes.
Replacement costs more up front. On badly broken concrete it is the cheaper answer over five years.

Should I lift or replace?
If the slab is in one piece and structurally sound, lift it. If it is cracked through in multiple directions or crumbling at the surface, replace it. We will show you which one you have.
Will the patched holes be obvious?
They are visible up close on a lift, similar to any core patch. On a driveway from the street you generally will not pick them out.
Do you do decorative or stamped work?
We focus on functional flatwork and repair. Tell us what you are after and we will be honest about whether it is in our lane.
Does sunken concrete mean my foundation is failing?
Usually not. Flatwork has no footing under it. It moves on its own schedule. We check the house anyway so you know for sure.
